Oscar 2011 Rundown (Even If I Forgot When I Wrote These Opinions)

Anyone think the intro for tonight’s Oscars was too long? I know that it tried to cram the 10 nominees of Best Picture with James Franco and Anne Hathaway going deeper into Leo DeCaprio’s mind only to end up with Alec Baldwin and Morgan Freeman along for the ride. While some jokes worked, others failed such as Franco and Hathaway meeting up with Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld disguised as an Indian in a bear’s fur and an eye-patched wearing, pony-tailed version cow girl. So far, the rest of the intro is a bit fuzzy but hey, this is what happens when the jokes don’t stick to your mind.

No disrespect but what’s the deal with having Kirk Douglas on stage? I just found out that he’s introducing the Best Supporting Actress nominations. I mean he’s a bit tough to translate but it’s alright. I think that he deserves the standing ovation even though I would replace him with another Douglas: Michael Douglas.

Melissa Leo wins for Best Supporting Actress! While I may not have loved The Fighter more than Black Swan, I’ve heard the Ms. Leo was a strong contender of the award. I think her situation where she’s bleeped during her acceptance speech was uncalled for. I don’t know if she cursed or not but as long as she’s on stage, I would have played the music to drown out the speech since it went on for too long.

Pixar loses for Best Animated Short Film? Oh well. It has a chance to win for Best Animated Film unless it gets trumped by Dreamworks. We don’t really need more How to Train Your Dragon films. I’m not hating on that film but the company’s going too far with sequels and the TV show coming soon.

Two seconds later: Toy Story 3 wins Best Animated Film! I think that the speeches given for this and the award for Best Animated Short Film should have been cut short as well. What’s with the long speeches without the drowning out music?

Franco coming out looking like a drunken Princess Peach after Hathaway’s short musical number. Lol Talk about being too little, too late to the party.

Does Anyone Care About the Knox Film?

I don't know what's stupid: the fact that people are crying over the possible inaccuracy of this Amanda Knox film or the fact that a scene of the actress playing the victim who died under Knox's hand with her bra being shown being cut out of the final version of the film. Pathetic.

People need to realize that we've seen a lot of people in bras and panties for the longest time. I don't know why that + said victim being pinned down to the floor equals 'ewww. Must not be seen by the eyes of the youth.' Read up on the entire story at the bottom. Sorry if this blog is a bit short but hey, editing is a load of BS especially when the film's less of a R-rated film and more so than an easily to ignore straight-to-DVD film.

Facebook Foils Friend Requests

While browsing through the Internet, I came across this opinion piece which relates to several of us who were hit with having our accounts terminated since the beginning of Facebook's impact on the world. For a social network that has become more popular due to Oscar buzz over a film with facts that may/may not be true about one one Harvard University student became the biggest billionaire ever to walk across the Earth, it has a lot of faults. We've all seen them from the unneeded photo viewer to the IM chat windows telling us that the people we've tried to communicate with have gone offline when they're clearly online as seen in the Friend Box a.k.a. the box of your friends' profile photos on the left side of the page underneath the tabs of games, messages, and events.

There's even problems when it comes to sending friend requests. I've also gone through having to seek assistance from the site when I couldn't ask a friend who I met at an anime convention or at other social events to talk to me on the site, even if I was able to get their phone numbers and e-mails which were better ways to contact them when you're out of ideas of how to connect with them.At least they'll be more responsive than Facebook ever will be.

In the article posted below, if you have found the site's corporate office number, I bet you were as disappointed as Mr. Fagin with being told that there's no phone support. In the old days, based from what I've seen of the film The Wizard, Nintendo of America was open to assisting video game players to conquer their biggest challenges on any of their games for the original NES. Now, in 2011, Fscebook still wants to ignore the fact that we, as a people, have had complaints about the site and how it's handled. I guess the people working for Mr. Zuckerburg have never cared especially if they've been paid huge sums to keep quiet about their own complaints and solutions to those complaints of the site. Heck, while I'm at it, I bet that's the reason so much money were being given to charities and schools last year. I bet Zuckerburg was playing the nice guy just to get people to see that he's not bad, but in a way, he is.

Make your own opinion about The Social Network (not the film, just about Facebook as a whole).

'Hannah Montana'! You Have Some Explaining to Do.

Funny how Billy Ray blames the show for his family's deterioration. Why would the show last for four seasons if he and Miley didn't agree on continuing the show past three seasons, 65 episodes, and a film that was written to be the series finale? He's a hypocrite and he knows it.

I understand that he wants to protect his daughter from the dangers of Hollywood but she can take care of herself now that she's legal. He shouldn't blame himself if Miley's name gets thrown in the tabloids with rumors about guys she's dating, her getting married, or whatever some of the magazines can add to their arsenal of interviews and photos of the beautiful people that we see in the everyday teen magazine.

I wanted to say something about this ridiculous story, but couldn't find the words and time until now. What does everyone else think about what Billy Ray has to say about the Disney money-maker. Do you agree or disagree?

Grammy Red Carpet Antics. Egg-Citing Aren't They?

It's funny how some celebrities can wear whatever they want and be considered either trashy or beautiful, stylish, handsome among other good comments. Then, there are people like Lady Gaga who apparently wants more attention for her wardrobe like she's been gunning for since the first day we've seen her in her odd apparel. I would search through the Internet to find all of her outfits throughout the course of her career but it's too much of a chore. Now, at the Grammys, people have been discussing among themselves about her new get-up this time being inside of a giant egg carried by bare-chested men. It seems that she has a brothel full of them since 1) she's the Queen of the Red Carpet and 2) she always need a few good men to do her bidding.

The reason for this egg is because she's going to be hatched during her performance later this evening. I guess there must be a giant mother hen who applied enough heat for her to break out without a hitch by the time that comes around.

As for whether or not I'll watch the Grammys, it's up in the air. There's still homework that haven't been accomplished throughout this weekend and for good reason. I'm not saying much other than I'm not drawing myself in the buff.

Beware of the Bieber Krew! Hahahahaha!

With this weekend being one that young girls will never forget, a New York school decided to play The Grinch and steal the celebration or, in this case, the Bieber-ration. Yes, Justin Bieber's new film is in theaters and before you ask me, no, I will not review the film. It's good enough for the children underneath my age group even if I do tend to be a film critic in the near future. Please let there be a time warp to send me to March so I can see Sucker Punch.

As for what this school pulled to try to suck out the fun of checking out the 3D documentary/concert, their excuse was: "OMG, Bieber shirts! Gasp, these little hoodlums are trying to be a street gang. Yeah that's it."

In the minds of the young girls: "Crips? Bloods? Hah! The Bieber Krew's where it's at!"

Four young girls who wore custom made t-shirts representing their Tween King were told to not wear them that led to the other children to not wear the shirts due to a possible increase in gang-related activity.

Why does this story sound like it belongs on The Onion? It's because it does. Come on, man. Why ban these t-shirts? Are you hating on the kid who had to struggle to get noticed on YouTube, worked with Usher and has had more girls wetting their pants for him like he's the next coming of Elvis? I may not care for him myself (What has/will he do for me?) but I'm not going to tell them what they can/can't wear. Similar to what I said about the six-year old and the Princess Boy wearing pink, these girls want to express themselves. Sure, their folks will worry about what they wear once they get to be about 16-18 years old or younger depending on their ages now, but the shirts aren't harming anyone. It's not like they'll cling on their bodies making the girls unable to take them off. If so, it's Bieber's way of saying 'He loves you' to his adoring fans.

Apologies for Some People and None for All

There are a lot of things that I'm sorry for such as getting into Internet porn that screwed me mentally when it came to being in a relationship even if it was one that began online to being sorry for meeting the wrong people. I'm sorry for sounding negative when talking to people and pushing them away when the conversation went from being all about introducing each other to 'I'm not going to find a girlfriend' Central. I want to apologize to Hailey whom I've hurt two days ago. Although she said to never talk or e-mail her again, I would like to get the word out somehow. Why else would I be on here typing right now?

Oh yeah, because of this:

http://www.aolnews.com/2011/02/11/boy-6-stabbed-in-neck-at-school-because-he-likes-pink/?icid=maing%7Cmain5%7Cdl3%7Csec3_lnk2%7C43628

I'm not sorry for the boys/girls/whomever who almsot killed this child. I'm not sorry for the fact that had I been the teacher, they would get more than a good talk and a few spankings no matter if the rule is to never spank anyone else's children.

It hasn't been long since The Today Show talked with the parents, more so the mother of a son who was the inspiration behind the creation of the book entitled My Princess Boy. In the interview, the mother was okay with her son dressing up like a girl. Sure that might mean that he might grow up to be gay, or not, but I was fine with it. Plus, the kid in the news story posted above was six. SIX YEARS OLD!! How crazy can you be to kill someone that young because he's into expressing himself?! You must have to be raised by some fucked up parents that's who. Yeah that's right! For the first time, I'm actually cursing on a blog post. I'm just mad about this event and while the weapon was identified as "blunt" and the boy wasn't seriously hurt, it's still sickening to the core.

Think about it. If this child was younger than six, you would want these kids to be persecuted to the fullest extent of the law. You would want them to get the same punishment that they gave him, the innocent bystander with his pink nail polish and pink clothes be it a pink v-neck, pink bell bottoms, or a pink dress. I'm running out of steam and all I can say is go to this web site and read more about My Princess Boy. Then, if Facebook makes a group about this incident, 'Like' it so you can show support to this child. Enough is enough with the senseless violence towards people who are different than us. We all have flaws so get used to it!

As a matter of fact, remember the interview I mentioned earlier, here's the video just in case you want to see it in action:

Facebook's Not Safe From Desperate Pervs/Super Bowl XLV Music Review

Well it looks like Facebook will never be safe. For those of you who don't know anything about 4Chan, it's a site when anything can happen. Threads can be created about anything from talking about this Sunday's Super Bowl to posting photos of beautiful nude women without them noticing that they're private moments are out for everyone to see. There are some women who don't really care. Some of them just love the attention.

In my opinion, aren't there anything else for these guys to do? Think about it. I might be off and on when it comes to checking out women that I know I won't get, but I won't go as far as finding every single photo or video of people who I don't know in real life from Facebook/Myspace/Twitter/where ever. I think that the site needs to up the security or remind the users to not let any of their sexy material leak out or else they'll be removed from FB forever.

I can't believe that I don't have anything else to say. I mean I could show you an example about what I'm talking about but I'm not trying to promote anything. In fact, if any of the girls discovered the blog and saw all of those photos, they'll be on me like America on Christina Aguilera due to her messing up on last night's National Anthem. Real quick, I hated all of the musical performances including Lea Michele (from TV's Glee). She didn't have a lot of range in her voice when she sang "America the Beautiful". She's only good for teens who are into covers of popular songs but also give a lot of hate to the people behind the Kids Bop CD series. All of the musical acts except Slash (guy with the top hat and guitar) performing with the Black Eye Peas' Fergie for those who haven't heard of him.

Anyway, that's it for now but if I think of anything else to write about last night besides what I just said and my feelings towards my first Super Bowl Party, I'll be back.
