In addition to what happened with the four-month baby and his sister being rescued by their mother, Ms. Patricia Legarreta, there was someone else who assisted with all of three to safety. At age 19, Jarell Brooks will be one of the people discussed at the work place and all social media outlets everywhere as he assisted with all three after Ms. Legarreta's husband drove off once he jumped over the balcony while escaping from the killer. According to ABC News, Mr. Brooks crawled on top of the young mother after being shot in one of his legs & using the other to get up and push the trio to safety. While Ms. Legarreta congratulates the young man for his bravery, it's the kids' father who should be looked down upon and filled with shame. Had he stayed with Mr. Brooks, he wouldn't be embarrassed at the fact that most people who've read both stories, the link from the last blog post and the one posted here, have seen him as one of the worst fathers in America. One Anonymous post from the popular forum web site 4chan.org within the /tv/ board, identified as No. 24485905 says it best:
"The running away in initial blind panic bit I can understand.
It's the getting out into the lobby, then the parking lot, then your car, then getting in, then starting it, then driving away, then having your girlfriend call to tell you she's been shot and could you please come back and pick her and the baby up. Oh and by the way a 19-yr old black guy saved our lives.
Ouch."
Ouch indeed.
