Ah, the '90's: the time where kids would wake up to watch a plethora of Saturday Morning cartoons on the alphabet networks. It was also a time when no one thought about straight to DVD films and cash-ins (Damn Disney and its unnecessary Lion King re-release in 3D). It's been a decade which has been hated upon by fellow film critics (Guess for yourself) and one that's fondly remembered for being the time when cable networks, such as Nickelodeon, didn't rely so heavily on an ADHD sponge working at a burger joint or three tweens working on a webcam show in repetition to gain ratings. It wasn't a network that have dug down to the bottom of the barrel to deliver great content to children to the point of picking up 4Kids' scraps to continue being the #1 Network for Kids.
Viacom have thrown the fans a bone with their new scheduling block entitled 'The '90's Are All That' with the first of many series from the famous decade being shown from midnight to 2am. With the long list of series (in the link below), adults who are children at heart will have many choices to choose from to help them sleep better in preparation for the next day. It can even make good times with friends much better with looking back to see how far TV has come and becoming embarrassed to some of the series that still stink up the airwaves. However, all isn't well.
A few shows are missing from this block, but no worries. Let the man behind the operation handle everything: by informing everyone to go online and comment about what they would like to see in this block. It's a shame that it's the ONLY answer as the questions from the posted story are thrown at the Senior VP and Gen. Manager are mowed down one by one. This man is a warrior. To repeat his replies, head over to Facebook, Twitter and 90sareallthat.com to let him and the company know your thoughts.
If you excuse me, I need to pick up some orange soda to go along with my orange couch with my dog Porkchop by my side. Can't miss the fun later this evening/early Tuesday morning.
