Borders Bookstores R.I.P. 1933-2011

It's official: the unemployment lines will be a bit longer this fall. Also, with the rise in e-books along with sales of purchases of the Nook and iPad, Borders will no longer satisfy people in need for a good book. Barnes and Noble along with local book stores, not many, will be the only sources of literature. It's a shame for we, as a people, have depended on technology so much that we've forgotten about the days when we would search for manga titles that weren't found anywhere else. While most stores have already shut down due to the failing economy, this marks the end of an era. Beginning in 1933, Borders, along with Waldenbooks, have provided customers with books of all ages of all kinds. With this move, over 10,700 people will become jobless and have to scrap with others to make sure that they're paid weekly/bi-weekly. Why couldn't anyone put a bid on the company, Borders Group Inc., to keep it alive for a few more years? Idiots.
