The Prize Hidden Inside

Rather than a Pizza Party or a visit from a local celebrity to reward students for good grades, a local school decided that it would put the trust in a Chinese manufacturer to provide them with snap bracelets. What the students didn't know was the real prize inside of them. Opinion about the story will be posted later. For now, it's study time for me.

Scorsese's 'Hugo' is the Best Live-Action 3D Film Ever? Hardly.

I don't waste my time with 3D films. I take it back. I don't like wasting my time with seeing films that don't need the 3D effect to capture the interest of seeing them from the people . Now cinemablend.com declares that Martin Scorsese's newest family flick for the holidays, is. quoting from the article title, "the best live action 3D ever". After reading it, one thought comes to mind. What about James Cameron's epic space mission where the search for a fictional element leads into a disabled soldier becoming one with the community of blue monkey-cat people? Screw it.

Looking back at the first trailer for Hugo, Scorsese's "masterpiece", I never had the interest in seeing it. The music, comedic scenes and the dialogue didn't help. The teaser made the film as cheesy as that of the new film We Bought a Zoo. Yes, it's a real title for a movie. Are the holidays going to be filled with indigestible turds? I thought a month ago that the rest of Fall was slightly horrendous. After seeing Real Steel, having early interest with seeing The Thing, and still mixed about whether or not I should take the plunge with Puss in Boots, the rest of the season, so far, isn't promising. Late December looks to be a blast, but Hugo will still hang above me like a thought of self doubt when thinking about whether or not I should continue to push forward with my future career. I might see the film if curiosity peaks like it has in the past. For now, the film looks to be as promising as The Muppets in November. Just expect a lot of tykes than me with that one.
